It’s been a long time since I felt this excited about life and work. Two years and five months to be precise. The last time was during the Presidential elections at the University of Essex in early 2010. Very few hours of sleep, new challenges every day, new people to meet and the sheer excitement of tackling the unexpected. I had a goal to work towards, I put my life and soul into it and I achieved it. That thrill was something else. The next couple of weeks promise to bring similar levels of excitement. With practically back to back photoshoots everyday and meetings with clients & models scattered in between them, I am going to have little time for leisure. But that’s not a complaint. Anyone who knows me well will know that I love being busy.
Every day is a new learning experience and I have been constantly keeping myself updated with new ideas in the world of photography. It feels great to be in a field where the potential to express your creativity is virtually limitless and the world (and beyond!) is your canvas. I will no doubt be exploring new techniques and fine tuning them out over the coming weeks to pull off the best visuals you can expect. Apart from the 10 events that I will be covering, I am also simultaneously working on three new fashion shoots which should hopefully be done and dusted by the end of the month. Detailed logistics and locations for each shoot are currently being sorted (tougher than it sounds!) and I am rather looking forward to these photoshoots.
With life becoming busier, I am starting to get back into my regular rhythm of productiveness and making the most out of every minute I have. Coincidentally, I also realized that it had been exactly two years since I have graduated from the University of Essex with a BA (Hons) degree in Economics and Politics. The experience since then has brought a lot of ups and downs, taken me to a lot of places, shaped me as a person and prepared me well for the rocky future that awaits me.
They say you meet your destiny on the road you take to avoid it. That line sums up my life to date perfectly. A salute of thanks must be given to Vinoothna Geeta Media for convincing me to follow my dream.
