Hello and welcome back.
It has been a while since I last posted on my blog. In fact, its been so long that the last time I posted here, I was a blissful bachelor and today, I am a happily married man, having wedded a lovely lady more than a year ago. A multitude of reasons exist for the absence, primary of which was issues with my webhost and I finally sorted that out a few weeks ago by switching to a new webhost. Now that the problem has been resolved, things should be back on track, both for the blog and myself.
The past two years have brought with them a series of dramatic changes in life, from getting married, moving into our own place with my wife, buying a lot of photobooks, organising my sister’s wedding, shooting more weddings than I’d ever thought I would and perhaps most exciting, launching Concorde Zine & becoming the only Indian publication to be nominated for an international award! Each of these events came & went faster than I expected and changed me in ways that I did not initially comprehend. New responsibilities, new roles and new commitments meant that I had to frequently juggle multiple hats at once, as photographer, publisher, editor, investor, entrepreneur, friend, husband, brother and son.
They left me little time to write about my thoughts on life but having said that, my mind has always been swarming with ideas for blogs. I have dutifully been jotting them all down in Evernote, waiting for the right moment to start writing them. This feels like the right time and you should be expecting to read a lot more posts very soon.
